Sizebook is a Shopify application developed and operated by AphCom, based in Lebanon. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when merchants install Sizebook, manage size charts, or display size guides on their storefronts.
This policy covers Sizebook and related support services. A merchant’s own privacy policy governs its store and its relationship with shoppers.
1. Information We Process
Store and account information
When a merchant installs or uses Sizebook, we process information necessary to connect and operate the app, including the Shopify store domain, store identifiers, installation permissions, authentication information, and subscription status. We may also process Shopify staff identifiers and account details provided through authentication to manage access.
Product information and size chart content
We access product information needed to assign and display size charts, such as product identifiers, titles, vendors, tags, types, and variant information.
We store content and settings merchants create or upload, including size tables, measurements, translations, illustrations, matching rules, and appearance preferences. Published chart content is intended to be visible to shoppers.
Size chart engagement
Where analytics is enabled and applicable consent permits it, Sizebook records limited interactions with size guides. These records may include the event type, store domain, chart identifier, product identifier, and time grouped by hour.
These engagement records do not contain shopper names, email addresses, payment details, or a persistent shopper identifier. Sizebook does not use them to create individual shopper profiles.
Technical and support information
Our hosting infrastructure may process technical information, such as IP addresses, request details, and error logs, to deliver and protect the service.
If you contact us, we process the contact details, messages, and attachments you provide to handle your request.
Sizebook’s size chart functionality does not require access to customer order histories or payment card information. Please do not include sensitive personal information in size charts, uploads, or support messages.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
-
Authenticate merchants and manage app access.
-
Create, store, publish, and display size charts.
-
Match charts to products using merchant settings.
-
Provide engagement reports and matching suggestions.
-
Manage subscriptions and feature availability.
-
Respond to support requests.
-
Diagnose errors, maintain performance, and prevent abuse.
-
Meet applicable legal obligations.
Matching suggestions use product information and chart rules. They do not predict an individual shopper’s body measurements.
3. Our Role and Grounds for Processing
For information processed on a merchant’s behalf to provide Sizebook, the merchant generally determines the purpose of processing, and AphCom acts as its service provider or processor.
For our own account administration, support, security, and legal obligations, AphCom determines how relevant information is processed.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations, or consent, depending on the activity. Where processing relies on consent, that consent can be withdrawn.
4. Cookies and Consent
Sizebook and its platform providers may use necessary authentication and session technologies to operate the merchant dashboard.
Optional storefront engagement collection is designed to respect consent signals available through Shopify’s customer privacy controls. Merchants are responsible for configuring their store’s privacy notices and consent tools appropriately.
Shoppers can manage available consent choices through the store they are visiting. Sizebook does not use its engagement data for targeted advertising.
5. Sharing Information
We share information only as needed to operate Sizebook, including with:
-
Shopify, for app authentication, product access, chart publication, subscription management, and platform functionality.
-
Railway, which provides application hosting and database infrastructure.
-
Service providers supporting necessary operations, such as responding to support emails.
-
Authorities or professional advisers, where necessary to comply with law, address disputes, or protect legal rights.
If AphCom or Sizebook undergoes a merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, relevant information may be transferred subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. International Processing
AphCom operates from Lebanon, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws from your country.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other legally recognized mechanisms. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
7. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide Sizebook and fulfill the purposes described in this policy.
Retention depends on the information involved, the merchant’s use of the app, operational needs, and applicable legal requirements. Analytics history available in the dashboard depends on the subscription plan; the visible reporting period does not necessarily represent the retention period for all technical records.
When a merchant uninstalls Sizebook, Shopify access is revoked. We process applicable deletion requests and Shopify privacy notifications to remove associated information, except where continued retention is required or permitted for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Copies in backups may remain until those backups expire through their normal retention cycle. Content stored within Shopify is also subject to Shopify’s storage and deletion behavior.
To request deletion or ask about retention, contact info@aphcom.com.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:
-
Request access to personal information.
-
Correct inaccurate information.
-
Request deletion.
-
Restrict or object to certain processing.
-
Request a portable copy of information.
-
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
-
Complain to a relevant data protection authority.
Contact info@aphcom.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and relationship to the relevant store before responding.
If you are a shopper, contact the merchant first about information processed through its store. We assist merchants with applicable requests concerning Sizebook.
10. Children’s Information
Sizebook’s merchant dashboard is intended for business users. Sizebook does not ask shoppers to submit personal information to view size charts and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you believe a child’s personal information has been submitted to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Sizebook develops or our practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
